CARPET CLEANING PROCESSES:
STEAM CLEANING: At Chief Carpet & Air Duct Cleaning we use a process that is generally referred to as steam cleaning. The "steam cleaning" method is also commonly referred to as hot water extraction. "Steam cleaning" is widely accepted as the most effective carpet and upholstery cleaning method in the industry. It is highly recommended by major carpet manufacturers as well as by experts in the cleaning industry. In fact, the largest carpet manufacturer in the U.S. recently changed its warranty requirements to include annual cleaning using hot water extraction. This method is most successfully accomplished by using a large truck-mounted carpet cleaning machine. It may also be performed with a professional grade portable cleaning machine. We are set up for truck mounted operation using the best and the latest technology available.
Our "hot water extraction" method not only cleans your carpet very thoroughly, but it also reduces hazardous microscopic compounds and organisms that thrive in dirty carpet and upholstery. Another important advantage of this method is that it leaves your carpet and upholstery with little or no residue after cleaning thus reducing the carpets ability to attract soil . This is a major advantage over "dry" carpet cleaning processes, which tend to leave a residue on the fibers which actually acts as a "dirt magnet" and leaves your carpet prone to faster re-soiling.
CARPET PROTECTOR: For an additional fee, we can apply our DynaChem ULTRASEAL fabric protector to your carpet. ULTRASEAL will coat the carpet fibers protecting your carpet from both water and oil based spills. ULTRASEAL makes regular vacuuming more effective and decreases your carpets ability to re-soil. In addition, future cleanings will be more effective as well. You get all this protection with no sticky residue and your carpet is left feeling soft.

The smaller swatches in the top row are without Ultraseal, and the stains penetrated immediately. The larger fabrics are finished with Ultraseal, and two drops of stain were applied to each; the bottom one was cleaned off with absorbent paper towel, leaving virtually no trace.
